W ith an Associate of Orange County Community College, a Bachelor of Science and completed graduate work from the State University of New York at New Paltz, as well as completed coursework at John Herron School of Art and Design, Charleen Verena Kavleski had all of the tools she needed to be a successful conceptual artist and sculptor. Ms. Kavleski began her career as an art teacher at Monticello Central School District in 1968. She served in that capacity for 31 years while becoming an antiques and art dealer at Brockmann’s from 1983 to 2009. During her tenure, she was also an art advisor editor for Lit & Art Magazine, Robert J. Kaiser Middle School and Monticello Central School District. She continued to make headway in her career, serving as treasurer of Amos Eno Gallery from 1991 to 1994, a Applied Science and an Associate of Arts from

board member since 2014, and art dealer for Albatross Antiques since 2009. Throughout her career, she has reached many achievements including her works being displayed at Catskills Artist Gallery, Amos Eno Gallery, Franklin Square Gallery, Shimizu America Corporation, the National Association of Women Artists, Inc., and a number of private individual collections. Additionally, she was commissioned by Dr. Gustav Gavis to create an installation of painted constructions in 1994, Dr. Goddard Lainjo to create an installation of painted constructions in 1995, and Christopher Coleman to create an installation of painted constructions in 2013. Ms. Kavleski has been featured in Les Krantz’s New York Art Review, America References, Times Herald Record, Temple Emanuel, Sullivan County Democratic and Bau Gallery. She has also had her artwork displayed in many exhibitions and solo exhibitions at art galleries in New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, California and Montana. Ms. Kavleski remains a member of the National Association of Women Artists, Inc., the New York State Art Teachers Association, New York State RetiredTeachers Association, the Catskill Art Society, the National Museum of Women in the Arts and Amos Eno Gallery.
