C onnie Goodman-Milone is an amazing writer who has been in the field for over 20 years exhibiting great effort and skill. While most of her career has been dedicated to freelance writing in areas such as Philadelphia and New York, she also has experience in the field of counseling. She received a Bachelor of Arts in psychology at George Washington University and a Master of Social Work at Barry University, making her well-equipped to aid people in overcoming obstacles in their lives. Her first job in the counseling field was as a social work intern for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Miami. Presently, Ms. Goodman- Milone serves as a case manager for Baptist Health South Florida in Coral Gables, a position she has held since 2000. As a counselor, she focuses on bereavement issues and has been an active supporter of organizations such as the Children’s Bereavement Center. She has also been the outreach chair

for the Association for Death Education and Counseling for four years. As she progresses in her counseling career, Ms. Goodman-Milone continues to write as a freelancer in Miami. She fine-tunes her craft as a member of various organizations, including the Florida State Poets Association, Inc., Miami Poets, the Academy of American Poets, and the National Writers Union, and has held the positions of outreach chair, director of marketing and communications, president and vice president. She is currently in the process of co-authoring a book titled “Bereavement Poetry Project” and has previously written for many publications. Most of her writing is in the form of poetry and deals with grief- related topics. Ms. Goodman-Milone continues to use her creativity to aid in her career as a counselor helping others.
