T hrough hard work and of experience in her field. With a Bachelor of Arts from Vassar College, Ms. Duhme began her professional career as an elementary school teacher from 1939 to 1941 and taught again from 1942 to 1944. She left education and began to dedicate her time as a moderator for a St. Louis Association conglomerate church. During her tenure with the organization, she was a member of the church council, the board of deaconesses and the board of deacons, and chairman of the board of Christian Education, a position she held until her retirement in 1988. She has volunteered her time in other ways, serving on the boards of foundations and organizations within her community. Ms. Duhme has received many accolades and awards, including the Mary Alice Messerley Award for volunteerism from the Health and Welfare Council in St. Louis, the Volunteer of the Year Award from the YWCA, the Woman of Achievement Award from the St. Louis Globe Democrat, and the Outstanding Lay Women nomination from the Missouri United Church of Christ. dedication, Carol Duhme accumulated nearly 50 years

She has also been featured in Who’s Who in Finance and Business, Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the Midwest, Who’s Who in the World and Who’s Who of American Women. She received an honorary doctorate from Eden Theological Seminary in 2002.
