R ose Brault’s journey to becoming a successful advanced registered nurse practitioner and educator was not an easy one. Around the time Ms. Brault entered nursing school, women were not allowed to gain any form of medical education. However, she was determined to fulfill her lifelong goal. With the influence of her grandfather, who was a physician, and her father, who was a dentist, she was given the option to enter nursing or education, which resulted in her applying and being accepted to the top nursing college in Boston. She earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Boston College in 1966, and a Master of Science in nursing and a Doctor of Education from Boston University in 1977 and 1985, respectively. Throughout her 51-year-long career, she has held positions as a nurse and nurse practitioner for Boston City

Hospital, Boston Floating Hospital, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the Florida Hospital Medical Group, the Heartland Internal Medicine Associates, Health Essentials Inc., and Good Shepherd Hospice. In addition to being the liaison between patients and physicians, she has also utilized her experience and knowledge as a nursing instructor at CHA Everett Hospital, formerly known as Whidden Memorial Hospital, and Boston University Medical Center. Ms. Brault has served as an instructor of pediatric nursing, medical nursing and surgery at the College of Central Florida, an instructor at the University of Central Florida, assistant professor at Florida Southern College, associate professor at South University, and adjunct associate professor at American Sentinel University. Ms. Brault is a fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and has been featured in many editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Nursing, Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Who’s Who in the World and Who’s Who of American Women.
