A s a sociologist, Bruce Edward Keith studies societies and social behavior by examining the groups, cultures, organizations and social institutions that people develop. To prepare for his career Dr. Keith earned a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts from WesternWashington University, and a Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska. Throughout his career he has held many positions, including assistant professor of sociology, assistant dean of academy assessment, associate professor of sociology, associate dean of academy affairs, and professor of sociology. He has penned himself an author of many works, including “Inside West Virginia” and “Contexts for Learning,” and has contributed scientific papers and articles to professional journals in the field. Additionally, he is a Fulbright Scholar and an academy liaison and course instructor at Addis Ababa University, a liaison for the International Study Abroad Program at Taiwan Academy, and has served on the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) and the Association of American Colleges &Universities since 1999 and 2005 respectively. Dr. Keith remains a member of the SystemDynamics Society, the American Sociological Association, and Association of American Colleges &Universities. Y oel Nitzarim is a highly experienced language educator who obtained a Bachelor of Arts and a master’s degree in education from Northeastern Illinois University, as well as a certification in secondary English education. His career has led him to serve as an English as a second language and foreign language teacher and instructor for schools in Chicago and Israel, an adult English seminar teacher, a Hebrew and Jewish social studies teacher, an English teacher, writing teacher, and assistant professor of English. Most recently, he served as an instructor of English composition at the College of Lake County from 2005 to 2013. In addition to his career in education, Mr. Nitzarim is a founding sponsor of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial in Washington, D.C. He has contributed articles to professional journals and written essays, poetry, short stories and newspaper articles that have been published in the United States, New Zealand, Israel and Canada. He remains abreast of the field as a member of the Time to Succeed Coalition.
