R etired mathematics teacher and lobbyist Cynthia MacDonald Gamblin imparted her knowledge to students for over three decades. Certified to teach in the states of Florida and Missouri and a licensed basic ground instructor, Ms. Gamblin began her career as a mathematics teacher at Mary Institute in St. Louis from 1969 to 1970. After leaving the institute she earned a position as an executive secretary at the Coalition for the Environment, serving in that capacity for a year. She utilized her skills from her previous positions to obtain a position of office manager for Around the World Food Crop. From 1973 until her retirement in 2008, she held the title of mathematics teacher at Dunedin High School. Additionally, Ms. Gamblin has served as a member of the public policy committee for the Juvenile Welfare Board in St. Petersburg from 1979 to 1998 co-chairman, on the legislation subcommittee and advisor for the DHS Sailing Club from 1989 to 1990 and 2002 to 2003 respectively. Ms. Gamblin remains active in the field as a member of the Pinellas Classroom Teachers Association where she served as lobbyist for the St. Petersburg chapter from 1979 to 1992,

Center for Florida's Children and Junior League of Clearwater. She has been featured in Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Education, Who’s Who in the World and Who’s Who of American Women. Her career is backed by a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Arts in teaching from Washington University in 1969 and 1971 respectively.
