P rominent gas industry executive Eugene F. Loveland has utilized his skills to set the bar in his field. With a Bachelor of Arts from Wesleyan University, Mr. Loveland began his career with Shell Oil Company where he served for 34 years. The experience and skills he gained from that position allowed him to begin to conquer the executive realm at the company as vice president of the central marketing region from 1968 to 1971 and vice president of oil products from 1972 to 1980. After his tenure at Shell, he began working at T.W. Oil Inc., where he remained until his retirement in 1989. During his time at the company he held positions, including chairman, chief executive officer, and president.

In addition to his service at both companies, he has also served on the board of directors of the Lyric Theatre in Houston, chairman of the Houston Ballet Foundation, vice chairman of the Better Business Bureau, director of the Cultural Arts Council in Houston, chairman of the Greater Houston Ice Skating Council, and chairman of the development commission at Fay School in 1992. A veteran of the military, Mr. Loveland served with the U.S. Naval Reserve from 1943 to 1945. During his time in the military he was honored with the Distinguished Flying Cross and two Air Medals. He is also the recipient of the Distinguished Alumnus Award from Wesleyan University in 1993 and the National Order of Merit from the Country of Malta in 2003 and remains a member of the Military and Hospitaller Order St. Lazarus Jerusalem.
